SSRFC is hosting our next conference with STFM in 2012! REGISTER NOW Download this years Conference Schedule and Book Who: Students in every discipline involved in a student run clinic When: Saturday 10 am -Sunday 12 pm, February 4-5, 2012 Where: Longbeach, CA Theme: Student-Run Free Clinics: Innovative approaches to addressing health disparities. Registration will open in October and can be found here. The registration fee will be $99, which includes all Saturday and Sunday SSRFC workshops, Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast, and refreshment breaks.
STFM is helping to host the Society of Student-Run Free Clinics 2012 conference but we are an independent organization. We encourage students from all aspects of healthcare involved in student-run clinics to attend. There will also be a poster sesion to present your clinic models. We encourage every school to submit a poster for the poster session about their clinic model. Poster boards provided for your display are 4 ft tall by 8 ft wide and your poster must fit within these dimensions. Call for presentations (NOW CLOSED): SSRFC is now accepting proposals for conference presentations. This call is open to all disciplines in the healthcare professions and allied health sciences. We welcome research findings, educational seminars, skills workshops, and clinic model presentations. We also welcome presentations geared especially towards faculty involved in student-run free clinics. Topics in the past have included: starting clinics, expanding clinics, grant writing, fundraising, operational improvements, patient advocacy and interdisciplinary care. Abstract Submission Guidlines Proposals should describe goals, educational points, and relevance to this year’s theme, as well as intended audience (students, faculty, or both). Proposal submission deadline: August 31, 2011 All proposals will be reviewed and presenters will be notified of application status by October 31, 2011.
